Introduction


Mabal Abisha V, Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing, East Coast Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry. She has academic and professional experience in nursing education, community health nursing, research, and clinical practice.

She completed her M.Sc. Nursing in Community Health Nursing and  B.Sc. Nursing from Pondicherry University. She is currently enrolled in a Ph.D. in Nursing at Pondicherry University and has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Biostatistics from Madurai Kamaraj University.

She has professional experience as an Assistant Professor, Nursing Tutor, and Nursing Officer, contributing to nursing education and healthcare services. Her professional interests include community health nursing, health education, nursing research, adolescent health, healthy ageing, and public health. She has completed several academic and professional training programmes in areas including research and publication ethics, scientific writing in health research, ethics review in health research, biostatistics and data management, community mental health, vector-borne diseases, research ethics, and nursing education.

She has participated in and contributed to national and state-level conferences, workshops, faculty development programmes, and continuing nursing education activities. She has also served as a resource person, examiner, paper evaluator, and paper setter for various nursing institutions and universities. Her academic work includes research presentations and publications related to adolescent health, menstrual hygiene, infant feeding, substance abuse, hypertension, infertility and depression, immunization, elderly fall risk, nutrition, and women’s health. She has also contributed to a community health nursing practical record book.
