Introduction

As a highly accomplished academic and researcher in Physical Anthropology with an M.Sc. and Ph.D., I am currently based in the Department of Anthropology at Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, India. My research journey is dedicated to exploring the complex interrelations between Body Composition, Growth, Nutrition, and the prevalence of Non-communicable Diseases such as Diabetes. My work extends into specialized areas, including the analysis of Genetic Markers, Dermatoglyphics, and Forensic Anthropology, contributing a bio-cultural perspective to contemporary human health issues. I am committed to advancing knowledge in these areas, as reflected in my extensive publication record.

My academic rigor has been recognized through several prestigious accolades, including a "Gold Medal" award from the University of Calcutta and a nomination for "The President of India, Medal for the General Proficiency." Furthermore, my research has been supported by competitive fellowships, such as the National Scholarship of the Government of India, the UGC, DSA fellowship, and the Gansu International Fellowship from the People's Republic of China, underscoring the national and international relevance of my contributions. This support has been instrumental in allowing me to maintain a robust research output, with numerous papers published in respected journals like South Asian Anthropologists, Acta Morphologica Et Anthropologica, and Human Biology Review.

Beyond my direct research, I am actively engaged in scholarly communication through my roles as an Editorial Board Member for several academic journals and as a Reviewer for esteemed international publications, including the Journal of Tropical Pediatrics and Annals of Human Biology. My expertise is also consolidated in book publications, such as Nutrition and health among Indian tribes and Contemporary issues in childhood malnutrition. These roles highlight my commitment to upholding scientific standards and shaping the future discourse in Physical Anthropology, specifically concerning human biological variation, health, and disease in diverse populations.
