Introduction

I am a distinguished surgical professional and a leader in high-pressure medical environments, with a career that reflects a powerful blend of clinical expertise, innovation, and strategic leadership. As a commissioned officer in the Indian Army, I've served in the Army Medical Corps, where I provided comprehensive medical and surgical care. My experience includes performing over ten thousand life-saving surgeries with a flawless record. I also spearheaded a cross-functional team to achieve a top-tier score on the National Quality Assurance Standards accreditation, which reduced hospital-acquired infections. Beyond the operating room, I have a passion for medical innovation. In a combat setting, I developed two novel medical infrastructures—a dug-in and a container-based operation theatre—that increased surgical care capacity in remote battlefield areas, a practice that was later institutionalized for other units. During my time with the Ministry of Health, I implemented new protocols that reduced patient mortality. My work has also contributed to medical education, as I've trained over 100 medical professionals, over thousand medical students and published eight research articles in internationally acclaimed surgical journals. My career is a testament to my ability to deliver exceptional medical care, drive operational improvements, and innovate under pressure.
