I am Jayvadan Lalpara, currently working as an Assistant Professor in Mental Health Nursing at KD Institute of Nursing Sciences, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. For me, nursing is not only a profession but also an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students, patients, families, and the wider community. My main areas of interest are Mental Health Nursing, nursing education, student mental wellbeing, soft-skill development, and evidence-based nursing practice. I enjoy creating learning environments where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing their ideas, and developing not only their academic knowledge but also their confidence and professional personality. Along with teaching, I actively participate in research activities, conferences, workshops, webinars, faculty development programmes, and professional training initiatives. I have also had opportunities to serve as an Expert/Resource Person for soft-skill training programmes, where I enjoy interacting with learners and helping them develop communication, teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills. I am particularly interested in research that can bring practical improvements to nursing education and mental healthcare. I believe that good research should not remain limited to publications; it should ultimately contribute to better learning, better nursing practice, and better patient care. I am also passionate about continuous learning. Every interaction with a student, colleague, researcher, or healthcare professional gives me an opportunity to learn something new. I value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional networking because meaningful academic growth happens when people learn and grow together.
