Introduction

I am a dedicated Animal Physiologist with over twelve years of research experience in the field of Animal Physiology, along with seven years of teaching and six years of extension experience. I obtained my Ph.D. in Animal Physiology in 2015 from the National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal, where I also completed my M.V.Sc. in the same discipline. I graduated with a B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree from the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences. Throughout my academic career, I have consistently secured first-class results and academic distinctions.

I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology & Biochemistry at Sardarkrushinagar Agricultural University, Gujarat, from August 2012 to June 2019, and also acted as Head (In-charge) of the department during 2017–2019. Since July 2019, I have been working as Assistant Director (Extension) at the Directorate of Research, Extension & Farms, West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences, Kolkata.

My research interests focus on animal physiology, environmental and stress physiology, climate change, and animal nutrition. I have served as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator in several departmental research projects related to milk composition, heat stress, immune parameters, and lactation physiology in cattle, buffaloes, and camels.

I have published 26 research papers, 15 review articles, two books, and one booklet in reputed national and international journals. I have been honored with the Young Scientist Award and the Best Paper Presentation Award at national scientific forums. Additionally, I have qualified ICAR-NET and ICAR-SRF and received prestigious fellowships including ICAR-JRF and INSPIRE.

I am actively involved in extension and capacity-building activities as a certified trainer under ASCI, resource person in farmers’ training programs, and expert contributor to agricultural outreach platforms, striving to bridge scientific research with field-level applications for sustainable livestock development.
