I am Dr. Aparna Singh, an accomplished Assistant Professor of Law at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow, bringing over 12 years of continuous teaching experience to the field. My academic foundation is robust, comprising a B.A. (English), LL.B., LL.M., and a Ph.D. My doctoral research critically appraised "The Constitutional Protection against Self Incrimination and Narco Analysis Test," showcasing my deep commitment to examining crucial intersections between law and fundamental rights. I am dedicated to nurturing future legal professionals through teaching and by consistently contributing to legal discourse.
My research profile is both broad and deep, focusing particularly on Constitutional Law, Human Rights, and Jurisprudence. I have authored two books, Right to Information and Right Against Self-Incrimination and Narco-Analysis, and contributed seven chapters to edited volumes. Furthermore, I have an extensive list of 29 research papers and articles published in various prestigious journals and conference proceedings. My published work explores diverse and contemporary topics, including the Right to Information, cyber feminism, legal challenges for the differently-abled, and the complexities of modern reservation policy, demonstrating a consistent focus on social justice and legal reform. In the realm of academic mentorship, I have successfully supervised four Ph.D. scholars and seven LL.M. dissertations to completion, with four more Ph.D. candidates currently under my guidance.
Beyond teaching and research, I have made significant contributions through academic administration, specialized lectures, and service. I have taught and designed course modules for over ten diverse subjects in both UG and PG law programs, including Women and Law, Human Rights Law, and Administrative Law. I have delivered over 16 special lectures at various institutes and contributed to training programs for legal and government officials on topics such as Human Rights and Indian Evidence Law. Additionally, I've served in key administrative roles at RMLNLU, including as Warden of the Girls' Hostel and as a Member of the Proctorial Board and Gender Justice Cell. I've also received multiple Gold Medals for academic excellence in Labour Law, Land Law, and Civil Procedure Code, reflecting my consistent commitment to excellence in all facets of my professional life.
