To begin with, I have been a practising general surgeon since last 5 years, having completed my Masters in general surgery from Surat, Gujarat. I have further trained as a fellow in minimal invasive and robotic surgery from Max group of Hospitals, New Delhi. Currently I am working as a Senior Resident in Government of NCT of Delhi. When I am not working I am often opt travelling, reading, cooking and painting. I find myself often wondering if the medical practice that we do on daily practice, what part of it contributes actually to medical community. And this is a discussion I have had more than once with my colleagues. However it has dawned upon me that the answer to that lies in the literature we contribute to. Because truly literature is a fine reflection of our society, nothing less, nothing more. I have always enjoyed contributing to medical community, either in the form of patient care or via social work or by teaching undergraduates. I would like to contribute to literary world by joining your esteemed editorial team.
