Dr. Sanjay Kumar Bharti, born on June 10, 1981, in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Livestock Products Technology, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, DUVASU, Mathura. He earned his B.V.Sc. & A.H. (2006) and M.V.Sc. (2008) from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, and Ph.D. (2019) with distinction from DUVASU, Mathura. A recognized expert in processed meat and dairy technology, Dr. Bharti has made remarkable contributions to the development of functional meat products, biodegradable edible packaging materials, and sustainable livestock-based value-added foods through central and state-funded projects. His distinguished academic and research record includes 46 research papers, 28 review papers, 37 book chapters, 9 books, 16 training manuals/compendia, and more than 50 popular and technical articles. He serves on the editorial boards of four reputed journals and has presented lead papers at national and international forums. Dr. Bharti has also been part of organizing numerous national conferences, ICAR-sponsored training programmes, winter and summer schools, webinars, and brainstorming sessions, promoting food safety, innovation, and entrepreneurship in animal product technologies. A recipient of meaningful recognitions, including the Young Scientist Award, Best Thesis Award, Senior United Nations Information award, and over 20 best presentation awards, Dr. Bharti also represented India in an international faculty development program at South Dakota State University, Brookings, USA. His unwavering dedication to teaching, research, and extension continues to advance food safety, nutritional security, and sustainability in livestock product technologies.
