Introduction


Dr. Ghone Rahul Ashok is working as Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, DVVPF's Medical College & Hospital, Dr. Balasaheb Vikhe Patil University Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, India.

Before this, he worked as Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, JMF's ACPM Medical College, Dhule, and earlier as Assistant Professor at DVVPF's Medical College & Hospital, Ahilyanagar. He has done his Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik. He has an experience of 18 years in research and teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. He has also been associated with the teaching and mentorship of MBBS and postgraduate students as Teacher, Mentor and Examiner across several medical universities.

He has published 31peer-reviewed research articles in national and international journals, with a Google Scholar profile reflecting 451 citations, an h-index of 10 and an i10-index of 10. He has contributed a chapter to the Textbook of Paediatrics, Vol. 2. He holds one registered copyright for an "Evaluation Proforma for Assessment of I MBBS Students." He serves as an Editorial Board Member of the VIMS Health Science Journal.

He has presented papers and posters at national conferences of the Association of Clinical Biochemists of India (ACBI) and has attended numerous workshops in medical education technology and research methodology. He has a keen interest in research related to genetics, oxidative stress and antioxidant status in conditions such as beta thalassemia major, severe acute malnutrition, sickle cell anaemia.
