I am Mrs. Deepak, Professor-cum-Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing at SGT University, Gurugram, with over 14 years of dedicated experience in nursing education, clinical practice, and research. My professional journey is deeply rooted in advancing maternal and child health and nurturing the next generation of competent, compassionate nursing professionals.I hold a M.Sc. in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing from PGIMER, Chandigarh, and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Nursing through the National Consortium by the Indian Nursing Council in collaboration with RGUHS, Bengaluru. As Professor-cum-HOD, I am involved in curriculum implementation, faculty mentoring, clinical supervision, and fostering a research-driven learning environment. I am a certified simulation-based education trainer, having completed a specialized training program conducted by the Indian Nursing Council in partnership with Jhpiego and Laerdal. I also serve as a trainer for skill standardization and simulation training for midwifery faculty. My work emphasizes the integration of innovative teaching strategies with clinical excellence to bridge the gap between theory and practice. With 26 research publications in indexed journals, one book, six book chapters, and four patents, I have actively contributed to the body of nursing knowledge. I have led and participated in several research projects, including an ICMR-funded project, and have organized national workshops on obstetric emergencies.My key research interests include the promotion of maternal and child health, recent advances in educational technology, and epidemiology. I believe in fostering a research-driven and student-cantered academic environment where innovation and evidence-based practice thrive.With strong communication skills, discipline, and a collaborative spirit, I remain committed to enhancing healthcare education and outcomes through excellence in teaching, leadership, and research.
