My name is Dr. Bal Kishan Gupta, and I serve as a Senior Professor and Unit Head in the Department of Medicine at S.P. Medical College & A.G. of Hospitals in Bikaner, India. With an M.D. in Internal Medicine, my professional life is dedicated to advancing clinical excellence, medical education, and ethical governance. In addition to my primary role overseeing the clinical and academic functions of my unit, I hold the pivotal position of Member Secretary on the institutional Ethics Committee, ensuring that all biomedical and health research adheres to the highest standards of integrity and patient safety. My extensive experience, underpinned by comprehensive patient care and institutional leadership, provides a strong foundation for both administrative and teaching responsibilities.

My expertise is built upon a foundation of continuous specialized training spanning several critical areas of medicine. Key focus areas include Cardiology, Hematology (with specialized training in Hemophilia from KEM Hospital, Mumbai), and Critical Care Support, as evidenced by my Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS) course completion. I have a significant interest in Diabetes, having completed the EASD Postgraduate Course in Clinical Diabetes in Slovenia and specialized courses on Diabetic Ketoacidosis and Gestational Diabetes. Furthermore, I have committed extensively to research compliance, successfully completing multiple ICH-GCP training sessions between 2006 and 2023. A notable career highlight was a Visiting Professorship in Clinical Nutrition at the Cleveland Clinic, USA, cementing my international perspective and proficiency in diverse medical disciplines.
