Introduction


Dr. Thangamani Ramalingam Alagappan is an experienced physiotherapy faculty and clinician with over twenty-five years of academic and clinical experience. His research integrates physiotherapy and psychology, focusing on chronic musculoskeletal pain, central sensitization, and biopsychosocial pain management. He has authored five books, over Sixty-five research publications indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, and contributed to knowledge translation by translating Cochrane summaries and the PEDro homepage into Tamil. His PhD (2025) emphasizes interdisciplinary research linking pain neuroscience education, cognitive behavior modifications, self-management strategies, activity pacing, psychological distress, and quality of life outcomes in chronic musculo skeletal pain populations.
