Research Interests :

Introduction

I am Dr. Ashwin Karnan, a physician specializing in Respiratory Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. My clinical experience encompasses the assessment and management of complex respiratory and systemic emergencies, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic instability, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, and critically ill patients requiring organ-supportive therapies. I have contributed to more than 40 scientific publications, with experience in clinical research, observational studies, case reports, and evidence-based medical literature. This research exposure has strengthened my interest in methodological rigor, appropriate interpretation of clinical data, transparent reporting, and clinically meaningful research. I have also developed experience as a peer reviewer for medical journals, including journals associated with Frontiers, Wiley, BMC, Springer Nature, BMJ, Cureus, and JCDR. Through peer review, I have evaluated manuscripts with particular attention to clinical relevance, study methodology, statistical interpretation, originality, ethical considerations, clarity of presentation, and the validity of conclusions.
