I am Dr. Ashish Jain, MD (Anaesthesiology), currently working as Professor and Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Sumandeep Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Vadodara, Gujarat, India. I have over a decade of experience in Anaesthesiology, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine and perioperative medicine, with additional specialized experience as a transplant anaesthetist. My clinical interests include emergency and critical care, airway management, resuscitation, point-of-care ultrasound, perioperative critical care, transplantation, and the management of critically ill and injured patients. In my present academic and leadership role, I am involved in the development of Emergency Medicine services, postgraduate medical education, clinical training, academic planning, quality improvement, clinical governance and development of structured systems for emergency care. I have a particular interest in simulation-based education, resuscitation training, patient safety and evidence-based clinical practice. I have also been involved in initiatives aimed at promoting bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation and improving awareness of emergency care within the community. Research and academic writing are important components of my professional work. I have contributed to 18 publications in national and international journals and remain actively interested in clinical research, medical education and dissemination of evidence-based knowledge. My areas of academic interest include Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Anaesthesiology, resuscitation, point-of-care ultrasound, transplantation and healthcare quality improvement. I also maintain an active professional presence on LinkedIn, where I share academic work, clinical education, research-related content, developments in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care, and initiatives related to medical education and healthcare quality.
