Dr. Amar Bahadur serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology at the College of Agriculture, Tripura, Lembucherra, Agartala. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mycology and Plant Pathology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India and is a Life Member of various Professional societies in India. Dr. Bahadur has authored 33 research papers in International and National Journals, as well as over 30 proceedings and book chapters in edited books, in addition to 6 edited books and one authored book. He has experience reviewing National and International journals and has served as the Principal Investigator in a DBT funded research project and as a Co-investigator in NMHS, Uttarakhand, India. He has attended and delivered papers at both national and international seminars, conferences, and symposia, and he has also traveled to Thailand. In 2018, he served as the Zonal president of NER (North East Zone) in the Indian Phytopathological Society at IARI, New Delhi, and also led the organization of a National Symposium in 2019. Over 17 years, he has dedicated himself to research, teaching, and extension work. He received numerous awards and accolades, including the "Outstanding Scientist Award," "Best Senior Scientist," "Best Young Scientist," "Outstanding Faculty," "Outstanding Scientist in Agriculture," "Excellence in Teaching," "Research Padma Award," "Fellows of different academic societies," "Indian Teacher Award," and "Distinguished Agriculture Scientist Award," among others.
