This paper intends to explore the need and importance of women education, trends, prospects and challenges in Sri Lanka after Independence. The education of women is very essential for happy and healthy life at homes, the improvement of society, economic prosperity, and for national solidarity. There are enough constitution provisions in Sri Lanka which guarantee fundamental rights to women more equal to men. However, women are subjected to various issues and challenges. They face discrimination based on gender, harassment in schools, lack of separate transport facility, lack of toilet facilities, child marriages, etc. in the course of their life. In the recent development approaches carried out in Sri Lanka have brought a lot of opportunities for the women and not the trend of women education changed a lot. Most of the educational institutions are occupied with girls than boys. Most of the teachers are women. However, the issues related women still need appropriate attention.

One of the big problems for banks in India is non-performing assets. NPAs reflect banks' results. From 2006-07 to 2019-20, the current paper explores the pattern and growth of the net profit of all banks and gross non-performing assets in India. The study has the following objectives 1. To analyse the growth of net profit of all the banks in Indiasince 2006-07 to 2019-20. 2. To identify the Gross Non-performing asset (NPA) and profitability of banks and 3. To examine thetrend and growth of net profit of all the banks and gross non-performing assets in Indiasince 2006-07 to 2019-20. It is mainly concerned with tapping specific secondary data collection sources. It gathers secondary data from academic papers, dissertations of academics, reference books, standard publications and records of institutes and organisations, journals, newspapers, internet, etc. Statistical instruments such as percentage techniques, linear pattern and compound growth rate have been used. It is found that the trend coefficient was found to be statistically significant for net profit of all the banks and Gross Non-performing assetin India. It indicates, on average, it had increased by 6.7 percent for net profit of all the banks and 4.1 percent for Gross Non-performing assetper annum. The growth rates are found to be 7.384 percent, and 4.957 percent for net profit of all the banks and Gross Non-performing assetin India.The value of R2 indicates that the net profit of all the banks (0.613), and Gross Non performing asset (0.571) explain variations independent variables to the extent of 61 percent, and 57 percent respectively. Therefore, the banking sector should now primarily concentrate on the efficient management of NPAs in order to improve their profitability and thereby provide the industry with as much funding as possible.

College life is the most enjoyable time as well as time for psychosocial development in every person. Colleges play a vital role in the development of adolescents, as they spend much time attending college, engaging in extracurricular activities, and completing academic work at home. Colleges represent institutions that contribute to overall educational and socialization processes, critical in personality development in adolescents. Because of tight schedules, the new atmosphere in colleges, examinations, inter personal relations with teachers and fellow students and the adolescence age, most of the students are facing some psychosocial problems such as anxiety, depression, lack of interest in studies, sleep problems, social dysfunction, substance abuse, educational difficulties, conduct disorders, etc. These psychosocial problems encompass a wide variety of disorders, prevalence of psychosocial problems also vary on the basis of the types of problems and screening tools used by the researchers. The adolescent psychosocial development is the process through which the dependent child becomes a self-reliant adult. During this period of adolescence, a large number of children suffer from psychosocial problems at one time or the other during their development. Many of these problems are transient in nature and are often not even noticed. Female students are more vulnerable to psychosocial problems than male students due to multiple roles and responsibilities in several settings. Hence the present study is aimed to assess the prevalence of psychosocial problems in female junior college students.

Background: Organ donation is a gift of individual to help someone who suffer from improper or malfunction of their organ. According to National Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organization (NOTTO), 2017 statistical analysis showed that Gujarat was on 5th rank in organ donation in India. Each year, the number of people on the waiting list continues to grow, while the number of donors and transplants grows slowly because of the misconceptions, lack of knowledge and false beliefs prevailing in the community.

Objective: The main objective of the study was assessing the effectiveness of PTP on knowledge and attitude regarding organ donation among under graduate students. Method: In the study quantitative (Evaluative) approach was adopted. True experimental pre-test post-test control group design was adopted. Total 100 final year undergraduate students selected as sample by simple random sampling technique. Data was collected by the tool which consist the selected socio demographic variables, selfadministered structured knowledge questionnaire and Likert attitude scale regarding organ donation. Pre-test and post-test conducted for both the group, but PTP was given to experimental group only. Data analysis was done by descriptive and inferential statistics.

Results: The study findings depicted that there was a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test level of the knowledge and attitude score of experiment group than the control group. The calculated paired ‘t’ test value of knowledge score was 18.04 and attitude score was 10.25, the calculated unpaired ‘t’ test value of knowledge score was 12.89 and attitude score was 9.93, which was greater than tabulated value. So the given PTP was effective to enhance the knowledge and attitude of the undergraduate students. Pre-test knowledge and attitude association found between some selected socio-demographic variables. There was positive correlation between knowledge and attitude in experimental and control group.

Conclusion: So, this study concluded that PTP regarding organ donation enhanced the knowledge and improved the attitude towards organ donation among undergraduate students in experimental group. So different instructional media can be used to enhance the knowledge and change the attitude of the people. However, much awareness is taking regarding organ donation in the society and therefore various strategies must be initiated to address the issue.
