Proper Value Added Tax (VAT) auditing is a base for revenue of the Ethiopian economy. There is need to correctly assess and collect by the concerned government authorities. Researcher has conducted study on the assessment of VAT auditing in Ethiopia Revenue Custom Authority (ERCA) Arba Minch Gamo Gofa Zone. The researcher has collected data for the study from both primary and secondary sources. The data gathered use qualitative description and analysed in a proper way to get the results. The quality of ERCA VAT auditing is highly questionable because of the low right man power quality cum inexperience and poor co ordination among VAT audit employees. Based on results, it is suggested that Ethiopian government should take proper steps to overcome the limitations for improvement of revenue.

The main purpose of this research was to find out the difference in personality of working and non-working women. The total sample consisted 60 women of NCR region. The research tool for personality was Introversion Extroversion Inventory developed by Dr. P. F. Ajij and Dr. Rekha Agnihotri. Here,Mann-Whitney U’ test was applied to check the significant difference between personality of working & non working women.

Devadasi literally means God’s female servant, where according to the ancient Indian practice, young pre-ubertal girls are ‘married off’, ‘given away’ in matrimony to God or Local religious deity of the temple. These girls are not allowed to marry, as they were supposedly married to the temple. She ‘serves’ the priests and inmates of the temple, and the Zamindars  and other men of money and power, in the town and village. The ‘service’ given to these men is considered akin to service of God. The Devadasi is dedicated to the service of the temple Deity for life and there is no escape for her. If she wants to escape, the society will not accept her. It is a practice among lower caste people who worship a female deity called ‘Yellamma’ or ‘Huligamma’.  Fear of diseases, curses, and superstitious beliefs force parents to dedicate their daughters to the goddess.  A Devadasi is not allowed to marry, but is expected to satisfy the lust of any man, for that is her religious duty. Hundreds of young women have been devastated by a system that forces them into prostitution.  The children of  Devadasies have no one whom they can rightfully call their father. Objectives: 1. To know the socio-cultural background of the system and how is effecting on  Devadasies. 2. To highlight the social interaction of Devadasies regulated by sanction. 3. To discuss legislative measures to abolish the problem. Method of Study: The study was undertaken collecting information from secondary sources. Many journals, magazines and research articles have been consulted to prepare the paper.

Status of women in The Dangs  has been  discussed in this article with  respect to its sex ratio, gender gaps in literacy rate, work participation rate , women involvement  in self help groups, etc. The Dangs has the credit of having a high juvenile sex ratio while this district has a highly favorable Female Male Ratio too. Even if remarkable improvement in literacy level of both male and female is recorded during the last decade and the pace of this rise is more noticeable among females, large gender gaps still exists among males and females in case of literacy level.There is a big decline in female work participation rate  in case of main work in The Dangs while there is an increase in  availability of marginal work to women which leads to low economic status of women over a period of time.  Participation of women in self help groups is comparatively high in the Dangs.

Focusing on Muslim women in slums of Hyderabad (India) and taking comparative sample of women who are members of self help groups and those who are not, the article has examined the relationship between women membership status of self help groups and their political and legal empowerment. The independent sample t-test has provided that this relationship is statistically significant. Further the bivariate and trivariate analysis have provided that at low socio-economic status the association is substantially significant. The Power Relations Framework is used as a theoretical framework to evaluate the process of empowerment on the gradient of power dynamics.

Background and Purpose: Painful neuropathy is a common complication of diabetes mellitus and the clinical presentation of bilateral tingling and numbness, with sensory and/or motor deficits and autonomic dysfunction in both lower limbs is termed as diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) of distal symmetric polyneuropathy type. The objective of this paper was to perform a systematic review of articles on impact and burden of DPN in order to provide an evidence-informed reappraisal of existing findings. Materials and Methods: Systematic review using independent blinded search by search terms ‘diabetic neuropathy’ and ‘impact or burden’ was done to identify studies under four themes: impact of DPN on other factors; impact of other factors on DPN; impact of other factors on comorbidities in DPN; and, impact of comorbidities on other factors in DPN. Results- main findings: 29 studies were included for review and the multidimensional impact of DPN on individual in terms of physical and psychosocial influences; on the society in terms of work-related disability and healthcare utilization costs; and to the nation in terms of public health burden was consistently reflected across identified studies. Conclusion: DPN has a multidimensional impact on the person, society and nation, and is a physical, physiological, psychological and psychosocial burden for patients and their caregivers. A strong interdisciplinary collaborative working relationship is essential to combat the consequences of this disorder so that interventions might be aimed along a symptom control to quality of life continuum.
