Background: Styloid process elongation or stylohyoid ligament calcification can cause multiple symptoms such as dysphagia, facial pain, globus sensation, referred otalgia and headache.Conglomeration of these symptoms is termed as Eagle’s syndrome.It could be unilateral or bilateral. Since the symptoms mimic several other orofacial pains and neuralgia, the diagnosis must be made through a thorough history, adept clinical examination, and various imaging modalities. Methods: This article reports 5 cases of Eagle Syndrome. All the patients presented with complaints of chronic throat pain radiating to neck which did not relieve on taking medications, for the same they have been consulting multiple specialities. The diagnosis of Eagle Syndrome was confirmed by palpationin tonsillar fossa and orthopantomogram revealed enlarged styloid process measuring more than 30mm. Upon confirmation, all the 5 patients underwent tonsillo-styloidectomy. Result: All 5 cases diagnosed as Eagles syndromeachieved a definitive benefit by tonsillostyloidectomy surgery. Conclusion: Eagle Syndrome is a diagnosis of exclusion and should raise high index of suspicion in patients with nonspecific throat and neck pain not responding to any conservative treatment. With an increasing incidence of side effects following injudicious treatment given in such cases, this condition requires attention, as it is a rare entity and often misdiagnosed

Tuberculous otitis media (TOM) is a rare form of extrapulmonary tuberculosis that can lead to severe complications if not promptly diagnosed. This case report describes a 25-yearold female with bilateral ear discharge and hearing loss, initially misdiagnosed as bilateral suppurative otitis media. Following ineffective antibiotic treatment, imaging revealed chronic destructive changes, leading to a biopsy that confirmed TOM. Further investigations identified pulmonary tuberculosis, and the patient was started on anti-tuberculosis therapy. At a six-month follow-up, her symptoms had resolved, and hearing improved. This case underscores the need to consider TOM in chronic otitis media cases, particularly in highprevalence areas. The nonspecific clinical presentation of TOM often mimics more common conditions, making early detection essential to prevent complications. A multidisciplinary approach comining medical and surgical strategies is crucial for effective management. Increased awareness among healthcare providers is necessary to ensure timely intervention and improved outcomes for patients with TOM.

Background: Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma (JNA) are benign, rare and highly vascular tumors of nose and para nasal sinuses seen only in post pubertal males. Aim: To study surgical prognostic factors for JNA. Objectives: To study the effect of presenting features namely blood supply, blood loss, tumor grading, steroid therapy and age of presentation on surgical prognosis. Material: Presenting features and surgical outcomes of all 4 operated JNA patients were compared from the Departmental records. Result: Unilateral blood supply, Lesser pre-operative blood loss, lesser grade tumor, longer steroid therapy and more age at presentation have better surgical outcome. Conclusion: Although benign and rare to encounter, their diagnosis and management is a challenge owing to their highly vascular nature and their blood supply directly from or from main branches of carotid arteries.
