Tyre marks can signify the presence of the vehicle at the crime scene and are used as evidence which is of great help in identification of the preparator by placing suspect at the scene by matching the tyre with the tyre of suspected vehicle as it is difficult for two different vehicles to leave the same impression. Tyre marks impression are also helpful in hit and run cases as it provides the path and direction of the culprit arrival and departure from the crime scene it also provides the link between the vehicle the victim the crime scene and culprit and can be used for the reconstruction of crime scene. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of the tyre marks and classify them into the class categories to make it easy for the investigator to recognize the type of tyre marks with mere observation. For this study 100 samples were collected from two wheelers which includes front and rear tyre marks of bike and scooty, along with their "configuration, make, model and type of vehicle." It was observed that different manufacturing brands have different tread designs which make it easy to recognize the model of the tyre and the size that varies according to the vehicle.

The present study was conducted to identify morphological and numerical features of hair samples of wild animals using light and scanning electron microscope to make a key for their identification. Hair samples were collected from different body regions of different species of animals, and animal hair structures were analyzed. Animals of the same species are more likely to have similar scale patterns. The guard hair diameter, color, shaft, cuticle pattern, the medulla, the scale patterns, and the root were examined using a light microscope. In the present study, different animal samples are collected from Mathikettan Shola National Park and Zoological Park in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The samples were collected by using brushes and forceps, and each sample was packed separately in zip-lock bags to prevent mixing and preserve the integrity of the sample. Photographs of every sample were taken for visual reference, and they were taken to the laboratory for further examination. The analysis of the surface cuticular pattern, cross section, and medullary index provides information regarding the wild species of the animals.

Suicide occurs more often in older people than in younger people, but it is still one of the leading causes of death in late childhood and adolescence worldwide. The study focuses on the reasons for suicide among teenagers. The study aims to analyse the common reasons teenagers commit suicide. For the study, various police stations in Kerala were visited based on the collected details of teenage suicides that had been reported between the years 2018 to 2021. The findings of this study showed that the majority of suicides occurred between the ages of 15 to 24. The majority of the cases reported were due to family problems, drug addiction, or illness. A range of suicide prevention interventions were suggested to minimise opportunities for suicide imitation.

When Comparing preliminary examination of handwriting of different medium, the method is used to compare the class characteristics. Handwriting is visible speech which express by writing with the help of writing instrument on the writing surface. The Present work focuses on investigating this assumption only by collecting the sample from the Marathi writers whose first language is Marathi and second Hindi. Handwriting is generally learned by watching another person write when you are young, but you latter develop your own style of writing, which latter express your personality. The objective of the study was to compare the handwriting of an individual in Hindi as well as Marathi. Samples ratio was equally divided i.e, 50 Samples from each category were collected and analysed.

MMORPGs are a combination of RPGs and MMOGs in which millions of players worldwide play simultaneously. MMORPG is the most popular genre of gaming among millions of people. Many crimes are taking place due to MMORPGs such as homicides, sexual offences, theft, fraud, hacking etc. A study was conducted in order to detect information which is left by the MMORPGs in computer systems, which can also be used as corroborating evidence or real evidence connecting the suspect to the crime in cybercrime investigations. Eight games were selected (4 browser based, 4 client based) as samples, downloaded, installed and certain number of sessions were played. The hard disk which contained the sample was analyzed using Access Data’s FTK Imager for game information and chat histories. The client based games were uninstalled and analyzed as well. We found that browser based MMORPGs did not leave any traces of chat history but it had traces of important information such as URLs and timestamps. Client based MMORPGs left a lot of vital information as well as chat history. After uninstallation, the client based MMORPGs had yielded the same data as before uninstallation, but as deleted files. Thus, from this study we could prove that MMORPGs data can be detected and obtained from suspect hard disks and also can be used as corroborating evidence or real digital evidence which links the suspect directly to the crime in cybercrime investigations. Context: In the field of digital forensics and cybercrime, determining the information left behind by various applications is a necessity. MMORPGs are one type of such applications that require in depth analysis as to the type of information that can be retrieved from the computer system that is being used by the games. This will further help forensic examiners to proceed in the right direction and create a protocol for analysis of such games. Aim: To determine the information that can be retrieved from MMORPGs in a computer system. Settings and Design: Experimental study conducted on a system with eight MMORPGs. The games were used and various activities including chatting was conducted on it and then information was searched for in the computer system. traces of important information such as URLs and time stamps. Client-based MMORPGs left a lot of vital information as well as chat history. After uninstallation, the client-based MMORPGs had yielded the same data as before uninstallation, but as deleted files. The rapid growth of social media platforms has transformed the way individuals interact, communicate, and engage with information. Social media has become an integral part of modern day communication and has had a significant impact on the way people interact with each other. Social media regulates society and has the power to alter morality, human behaviour, and outcomes. It reflects in two ways: positive as well as negative. The study was conducted to explore the impact of social media on behaviour and its influence on criminal activities. The sample size included 200 individuals in the age group of 15 to 25 years, including both males and females, from the city of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The purposive sampling method was adapted, and a structured questionnaire was used for the data collection. In light of this study, it was revealed that the impact of social media is highly reflected in the behaviour of people and its influence on criminal activities. The youth have been impacted by social media in terms of the tendencies that are visible on social media that lead to criminal activity. The study's main finding is that social media has changed people's behaviour, and that behaviour has caused certain people to engage in criminal activity

Juvenile delinquency is defined as antisocial or criminal behavior by children under the age of eighteen. There is an increase in juvenile crimes in India at a panic rate, and most of them are involved in violent crimes. The increase in such crimes is a serious threat to society and the nation. This study aims to analyze the most reported types of crimes and age groups of children involved in crime in the current scenario. This study has been done by visiting a juvenile home and a few police stations in Kerala and collecting details of recent juvenile crimes that have been reported there between the years 2016 to 2021. The result of the study revealed that most of the juvenile involved in the criminal activities were between the ages of 15 to 18. The majority of the cases reported involved theft and burglary. In conclusion, the study suggested some preventive measure for juvenile crimes in our society for a better future ahead.
