Forensic nursing is defined as the application of the nursing process to public or legal proceedings, and the application of forensic health care in the scientific investigation of trauma and/or death related to abuse, violence, criminal activity, liability, and accidents. The forensic nurse integrates forensic and nursing sciences in the assessment and care of populations affected by physical, psychological, or social violence or trauma. Privacy, respect, and dignity characterize the services that the forensic nurse provides to those affected by crime, trauma, and intentional harm. In addition, the forensic nurse strongly advocates for minimum standards of assessment, collection of specimens for forensic analysis, and reporting of crime. Forensic nurses provide specialized care for patients who are experiencing acute and long-term health consequences associated with victimization or violence, and/or have unmet evidentiary needs relative to having been victimized or accused of victimization. In addition, forensic nurses provide consultation and testimony for civil and criminal proceedings relative to nursing practice, care given, and opinions rendered regarding findings. Forensic nursing care is not separate and distinct from other forms of medical care, but rather integrated into the overall care needs of individual patients.

Women's empowerment (or female empowerment) may be defined in several ways, including accepting women's viewpoints or making an effort to seek them, and raising the status of women through education, awareness, literacy, and training. Women empowerment equips and allows women to make life-determining decisions through the different problems in society. They may have the opportunity to redefine gender roles or other such roles, which in turn may allow them more freedom to pursue desired goals. Rural women make up a quarter of the world’s population. Rural women are key contributors to agricultural production, food security, climate advocacy, enterprise, and citizenship. Sadly, the active contribution and effort of rural women are not recognized and their full potentials underutilized.

Hospital nurses are exposed to various work-related factors that may be associated with an increased risk of developing different mental disorders. Empirical evidence on the prevalence and correlates of individual mental health problems such as stress, anxiety, and depression are widely reported, while a combined pattern of these conditions is unknown. This study aims to examine the co-occurrence of stress, anxiety, and depression among clinical nurses, and to explore socio-demographic characteristics of, and working conditions experienced by, nurses that may be associated with these three mental health conditions.

Clozapine is an atypical antipsychotic which is considered a gold standard in treatment for treatment-resistant schizophrenia. This drug is acting on multiple receptors like dopaminergic receptors, serotonergic receptors, adrenergic receptors, and muscarinic receptors. The action on dopaminergic and serotonergic receptors alleviates the positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia but action on some other receptors explains its side effects. Though it is an outstanding drug in treatment-resistant schizophrenia, treatment-resistant mood disorder, co-morbid use of alcohol and other substances in schizophrenia, hostility, and suicidality of the patient with schizophrenia, due to its severe side effects among which some are fatal, it is of having limited use. Before starting the therapy, a proper history should be taken, a thorough physical examination and a review of the investigation to be done to get the baseline of the specific patient. During the therapy, the patient should be frequently checked for changes in different parameters like vital signs, absolute neutrophil counts, BMI, biological functions, etc by using a clozapine assessment checklist. A proper assessment will help to prevent the worsening of the side effects. If any adverse effect is observed, then symptomatic management is required.

Electrical burn wound to the scalp which causes deep thermal burns may cause injury to all layers of the scalp including bone which can create a raw area of the scalp with exposed skull bone which is difficult to reconstruct as the bone was exposed without periosteum. The bone without periosteum will not usually granulate. In our case, we used regenerative techniques for exposed bone in the scalp wounds for granulation for flap cover. We have used dermabrasion-assisted wound debridement to remove the necrosed top layer of bone and used regenerative techniques like Low-level laser therapy, Human amniotic membrane, collagen scaffold application, and cyclic Negative pressure wound therapy for wound bed preparation. We will discuss regenerative techniques in this article.
