In the human body heart play a vital role to manage the function of circulatory system. If the brain stops working, the heart can manage the body, but if the heart stops working, nothing can manage the body. Heart disease increase day by day and death rate also increased due to heart disease as compare to brain disease. Deaths due to cardiovascular diseases increases from 13 lakh to 28 lakh in 2016. A heart transplant is the replacement of a person's diseased or damaged heart with a donor's healthy heart transplants are performed when other treatments possibility is not available leading to heart failure. Heart transplantation its having two types orthotopic and hetrotopic. Goal of cardiac transplantation is to improve the patient condition and save the patient life.

In this study effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge regarding road traffic rules among children in the age group of 6 to 13 years in a selected school was studied using structured questionnaire on road traffic accidents. The research design used in the study was one group pre-test and post-test pre-experimental design. The knowledge regarding road traffic rules was assessed before and after the conduction of structured teaching program on road traffic rules. The conceptual framework of the study was based on Modified General System Theory by Ludwig von Bertalanffy. The study was conducted among 30 children whose age was between 6 to 13 years. The data was collected and analysed based on objectives of the study using descriptive and inferential statistics based on the objectives of the study. The obtained mean post-test 21.8 was much higher than the mean pre-test 7.5. The obtained ‘t’ value 17.48 was significant. The study revealed that the knowledge regarding road traffic rules was significantly improved after the conduction of structured teaching program. Thus the structured teaching program was effective in improving the knowledge of children on road traffic rules. The effectiveness of the structured teaching program was independent of the selected demographic variables. The study concluded that the structured teaching program on road traffics rules can play an important role in imparting knowledge to the school children.

Introduction: The trillions of cells in the body require an abundant and continuous supply of oxygen to carry out their vital functions. We cannot “do without oxygen” for even a little while, as we can without food or water.1 Our body needs a constant supply of oxygen to support metabolism. Without oxygen we can’t live for more than a few minutes. The respiratory system brings oxygen through the airway through the lungs into the alveoli, where it diffuses into the blood for transport to the tissues. This process is so vital, that any difficulty in breathing is experience as a threat to life itself. People with respiratory disorder are often anxious and fearful that they may die, perhaps agonizingly. Chest physiotherapy is a well proven effective therapy for people in improving breathlessness, exercise tolerance and quality of life.6 Background: It is estimated that 235 million people suffer from asthma, more than 200 million people have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), 65 million endure moderate-to-severe COPD, 1–6% of the adult population (more than 100 million people) experience sleep disordered breathing, 8.7 million people develop tuberculosis (TB) annually, millions live with pulmonary hypertension and more than 50 million people struggle with occupational lung diseases, totaling more than 1 billion persons suffering from chronic respiratory conditions. Chest physiotherapy is a well proven effective therapy for people in improving breathlessness, exercise tolerance and quality of life. Objective: 1) To assess the pre-test knowledge and practice score regarding Chest Physiotherapy among staff nurses in experimental and control group. 2. To assess the post-test knowledge and practice score regarding Chest Physiotherapy among staff nurses in experimental and control group. 3. To compare the pre-test, post-test knowledge and practice score regarding Chest Physiotherapy among staff nurses in experimental and control group. 4. To associate the knowledge and practice score with selected demographic variable in experimental and control group. Materials and methods: A experimental study with Quasi Experimental Non-Randomized Control Group Design. is used among 60 staff nurses in selected hospitals of the city. The non-probability purposive random sampling technique is used. The collected data was tabulated and analyzed appropriate statistical methods wherever required. Results: The study reveals, in experimental group mean difference of knowledge score was 9.23 and in control group was 0.16. and calculated t-value for knowledge is 15.51 which is greater than table value. In experimental group mean difference of practice score was 10.23 and in control group was 0.16. and calculated t-value for practice is 16.71 which is higher than table value. Hence, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Conclusion: Planned teaching programmed on chest physiotherapy among staff nurses in the experimental group was effective and there is significant increase in knowledge and practice regarding chest physiotherapy among staff nurses in experimental group than in control group.

Overpopulation is a global problem which affects almost everyone in the globe by reducing the available natural resources in the existence. An epidemiological survey was conducted with the aim to assess the people’s response towards overpopulation and its harms to them. The study was conducted based upon descriptive survey design using interview method. The study comprises 80 people residing in selected rural area. The data was collected based on purposive sampling using checklist. The study reveals that most of the people are residing by doing unskilled work due to unemployment with poor living standard.

Background: Cervical cancer is the most common cancer among Indian women of the reproductive age. Even though cervical cancer is a preventable cancer through regular screening, only a small proportion of the eligible women undergo Pap smear screening due to ignorance of risk factors, symptoms and prevention, stigma and misconceptions about gynecological diseases and lack of national cervical cancer screening guidelines. Materials and methods: A descriptive cross sectional survey was conducted to assess cervical cancer screening behavior among women in the group of 30–60 years of age residing in selected tribal settlements of Idukki district Kerala using multistage cluster sampling. Practice assessment questionnaire was used to collect cervical cancer screening behavior among women. It consisted of 12 questions related to preventive strategies of cervical cancer. Data were entered and analyzed using SPSS 20. Results: Majority of the women participated in the study belonged to nuclear family (74.4%) and Hindu religion (88.8%). Majority of the women were either housewives (44.4%) or labourers (42.7%). Study findings also revealed that highest proportion of subjects 84.6% had poor practice and 15.4% had average practice regarding prevention of cervical cancer. Significant association was found between practice regarding prevention of cervical cancer with education (p < 0.001), type of family (p = 0.015), income (p = 0.002), age at the time of marriage (p = 0.003), number of pregnancies (p = 0.025) and number of children (p = 0.002). Conclusion: Majority of the women were not following suggested recommendations for regular cervical cancer screening. Therefore it is important develop strategies targeting eligible women to increase utilization of cervical cancer screening services.
