Bronchial asthma is one of the most common chronic respiratory conditions affecting children worldwide. Proper knowledge among mothers is essential for effective home management. This quasi-experimental study assessed the effectiveness of a structured teaching programme (STP) on knowledge regarding bronchial asthma and its management among mothers of asthmatic children at a selected hospital in Amravati, Greater Noida. A total of 60 mothers participated. Pre and post-test knowledge scores were compared using a structured questionnaire. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge scores after the STP. The study concluded that structured teaching is effective in enhancing maternal knowledge regarding asthma management in children. Statement of the Problem: A study to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on knowledge regarding bronchial asthma and its management among mothers of asthmatic children in selected hospitals. Immunization is the investment for today and tomorrow, it is one of the most cost effective public health interventions to reduce infant mortality rate (IMR) as also the less than five mortality and morbidity rate by protecting the children from vaccine preventable diseases. Roughly 3.0 million children die every year from vaccine preventable diseases (VPDs) with a disproportionate number of these children residing in developing countries. India has one of the lowest routine immunization (RI) rates in the world. An intensified Mission Indradhanush was launched by the honourable Prime Minister in October 2017 to accelerate vaccination coverage. Mission Indradhanush intended to reach out to unvaccinated and partially vaccinated children with the focus on hard-to-reach and high-risk population. Objective: To assess the prevalence of immunization drop outs among children less than 5 years in selected village of Chhattisgarh. Design: Descriptive survey research design. Setting: Selected village of Chhattisgarh. Sample Size: 60 children less than five years of age. Sampling Technique: Non probability sampling technique. Tools: Demographic proforma and checklist was used for data collection. Results: The results of the study revealed that out of 60 sample, 0 sample were unimmunized (0.00%), 22 sample were partially immunized (36.66%) and 38 sample were fully immunized (68.33%) Conclusion: The findings indicate that while the majority of parents are aware of the importance of immunizing their children but many do not complete the full immunization schedule. This highlights the need for enhanced community education and awareness programs to reduce vaccine dropout rates and promote complete immunization coverage.

Growth hormone deficiency is the most common pituitary hormone deficiency and is accompanied by poor overall growth and short stature. It causes a poor quality of life and a burden on the caregiver. It is caused by underproduction of growth hormone releasing hormone from the hypothalamus, Deficiency of growth hormone from the pituitary, or insensitivity to growth hormone action. Growth hormone deficiency is manifested by a slow growth rate, short stature, delayed puberty, immature facial features, delayed sexual development, and delayed motor skills, language, and cognitive development. Investigations include provocative tests done to provoke a pituitary growth hormone. Management of growth hormone deficiency includes the replacement of growth hormone, and regular follow-up and growth monitoring to give tailored treatment for individual children. Given the difficulties that children and caregivers encounter, nurses must provide thorough, client-centered care.

Neonatal anaemia affects preterm and term infants globally and is marked by reduced erythrocyte count or haemoglobin. It presents a significant clinical challenge, arising from physiological and pathological factors, demanding careful management to prevent increased mortality and neuro developmental risks. Diagnosis employs a tiered approach, starting with a complete blood count and progressing to focused investigations like Coombs tests and advanced testing like haemoglobin electrophoresis. Management strategies are tailored to etiology and severity, emphasizing minimal blood loss, erythropoiesis-stimulating agents, Delayed cord clamping, disease-specific treatments, and nutritional support, which play crucial roles. Along with strategies, regular monitoring and long-term neuro developmental assessments are essential for positive outcomes. Future directions focus on optimizing transfusions, reducing iatrogenic blood loss, and improving prenatal screening, targeted management, and preventive strategies, which are vital for improved outcomes.
