This paper uses SCOPUS as the citation data source, and uses ‘Web2.0’ as the key word to search the research papers related to Web2.0 during the period of 2004- 2012 . A total of 1651 citation were retrieved having key word web2.0" in the title of the document. All citations are then exported to MS-Excel sheet for analysis. Each citation was analyzed to ascertain the various bibliographical forms of the document like books, periodicals, conference proceedings, workshop, theses etc. Other bibliometric  aspects of study like authorship pattern, ranking of journals, chronological distribution, Authors Ranking, geographical scattering are studied. Results revealed that literature in the field of Web2.0 is growing continuously and US and UK are the most dominant contributors over other countries in publishing papers on web2.0. Further, the research found that ”journal articles” are primary medium of communication among the researchers in the field of Web2.0

This article attempts a critical study of the information seeking behaviour among faculty members in pharmaceutical sciences, working in various institutions, affiliated Acharya Nagarjuna University, Andhra University and Kakatiya University in Andhra Pradesh. To elicit responses on a wide range of issues, a comprehensive questionnaire was circulated among 700 pharmacy faculty members, out which 545 faculty members responded by submitting filled in questionnaires; and overall response rate recorded an impressive figure of 78%. One of the most remarkable findings pertains to the higher usage of library services by faculty at Assistant Professors’ grades, whereas the senior levels represented by Associate Professors and Professors perform poorly in making use of reference service, inter library loan, internet searching etc. Another aspect the finding props up is related to an overwhelming use of reprographic facility as well as borrowing. On the other hand, ancillary services such as current awareness services and selective dissemination of information services fail to evoke much response among faculty members.

In the present paper an attempt has been made to discuss about the collection development policies of engineering colleges. The study also identifies the users needs and suggests collection development policy to correspond with their needs. The need for a study on collection management policy and process being practices in libraries with special reference to academic libraries in Bangalore has been identified and the same has been taken up a project work, so that the outline of such a study may be fully understood and the practices thus identified may be followed by the libraries for enhancing the quality of the service being offered in Academic libraries.

The impact of new information and communication Technologies has revolutionized every walk of life. Information Technology is the product of fusion of information science and technology. Introducing RFID technology to a library takes dedicated research, careful planning and time. Library staff must be trained to use the REFD equipment. When the needs of library users for information can be fulfilled by adopting the new gadgets of information technology then its impact on libraries is significant. The developments are in the field of Electronic Mail, Electronic publications Internet, CD-ROM, and Multimedia –Digital libraries. This study focuses RFID technology and highlights its application, features, and suitable guidelines.

The importance of higher education and the role of libraries are discussed. The impact of information technology particularly the knowledge on printing and publishing technology is studied. The awareness of computer printing technology, computer printers, DTP, Page Makers and e-Publishing are detailed. Library staff’s should be encouraged to learn the technologies necessary to satisfy the user as well as administration.

The paper describes that both knowledge and information have been essential ingredients to change our society for future vision and shows the different approaches of knowledge activities in the knowledge society. Both Information and Knowledge management (KM) in libraries should be focused on effective research and development of knowledge for academicians and researchers, creation of new information/knowledge bases, exchange and sharing of information/knowledge mentions the modules and processes of IM/KM and also discusses the IM/KM techniques in libraries.

This research article aims at finding the content on the library websites of the agricultural universities of the Maharashtra state and concluded that there is no common format for content management on this website for uniformity; date of updating is not there and also no information about the library staff is mentioned.
