Background: Determining the predictors of patients’ intrinsic or extrinsic motivation for treatment assists in developing effective treatment strategies. The practice of yoga includes physical activity. Therefore, patients’ motivation for physical activity during yoga therapy may be expected to influence their involvement in the yoga program and, hence, their treatment outcome. Objective: With this background, the study aimed to determine the association of motivation for physical activity with treatment outcomes in patients receiving yoga therapy. Materials & Methods: Patients were recruited from a yoga therapy centre (n=389, F:M=252:137, 18-50 years; most often with diseases of the (i) musculoskeletal system or connective tissue (21.3%) or (ii) endocrine, nutritional or metabolic diseases (18.8%) (ICD-11). Assessments included (i) motivation for physical activity at baseline and (ii) treatment outcomes at baseline and after seven days of yoga and allied therapies using (i) the EQ-5D-3L and (ii) global perceived effect (GPE) scale. The intervention included yoga and allied treatments (e.g., hydrotherapy). Multivariable regression analyses (controlled for confounding variables) showed a significant negative association between (i) identified regulation for physical activity and the change in the EQ-5D-3L scores (Beta = -0.496) and (ii) external regulation for physical activity and change in EQ-5D-3L VAS scores (Beta = -0.568). Conclusion: In summary, higher extrinsic motivation for physical activity predicted less improvement after YT. Strategies to enhance the intrinsic motivation for physical activity components of yoga as therapy are suggested, targeting increasing patients’ inherent favorable experience of being physically active structured knowledg equestionnaire. Analysis and Interpretation: The data were analysed and interpreted in light of objective and hypothesis. The descriptive and inferential statistics in term of mean standard deviation, and paired ‘t’test were used for analysis of data.Theme an difference of knowledge of group was 12.73. In group, the calculated paired ‘t’value of level of knowledge is 24.30 and tabulated ‘t’ valueis 2.00. It reveals that the calculated paired ‘t’value is greater than tabulated ‘t’ value at 0.05 level of significance. Conclusion: This research study shows that the post test scores are more than pre-test score. Therefore, it can be concluded that planned teaching programme is effective among primary school teachers. Hence research hypothesis is accepted.

Introduction: The Brihatrayee (Charak Samhita, Sushruta Samhita and Astanga Hridaya) is a treasure trove of numerous formulations, including sneha kalpana (oleaginous preparation). The oleaginous preparation includes the preparation related to taila (oil), ghrita (ghee), majja (bone marrow fat) and vasa (animal fat). The main purpose of oleaginous preparation is to transfer lipid-soluble active ingredients into the oil or fat medium. Material and Methods: The Brihatrayee, Charak Samhita Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridaya were explored in depth to examine the various sneha preparations of Jeevak. Results and Conclusion: A total of forty-nine oleaginous preparation containing Jeevak was found among which the preparation in the form of ghee for internal use was found mostly. The preparation including majja (bone marrow fat) and with mahasneha was less frequently mentioned.

Yoga, an ancient practice rooted in Indian philosophy, has gained recognition worldwide as a therapeutic modality for various health conditions. This review synthesizes current research findings on the efficacy of yoga as a complementary therapy for diseases such as cardiovascular disorders, chronic pain, mental health issues, and metabolic syndromes. By examining the physiological and psychological mechanisms through which yoga exerts its effects, this review highlight clinical evidence supporting its use and discuss implications for healthcare practice. This review aims to establish yoga’s role as a valuable therapeutic intervention in modern healthcare.

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a grave complication of diabetes that results in notable morbidity and mortality. This instance aims to illustrate how Ayurvedic treatment and off-loading techniques can effectively manage DFUs. A 45-yearold male patient who had a known case of Type-II DM for ten years presented to the OPD with complaints of non-healing ulcer at the plantar aspect of the left foot for two months. The patient was managed with oral Ayurvedic medications such as Sanjivani Vati (125 mg) with lukewarm water four times a day after food and Haritaki Churna 5gm with lukewarm water at bedtime orally, Irrigation of wound with Triphala Kwatha, dressing of wound with Apamarga Kshara Taila and Yashtimadhu Malhara along with below knee posterior slab for eight weeks. After eight weeks of treatment ulcer was completely healed. This scientific case report highlights the value of a multidimensional approach in managing diabetic foot ulcers.

Introduction: Lipoma is a benign growth that develops from adipocytes. Lipoma is a prevalent condition, also known as ‘Ubiquitous Tumor’ as it can develop in any part of the body. However, it is the most frequently found in areas such as the nape of neck, back, suprascapular region, abdomen and thighs. Lipoma is conventionally treated by surgical excision. Materials and Methods: In this case report, a 60-year-old patient presented with swelling at back of his knee (i.e., popliteal fossa) of right leg which was of normal skin color, mobile non tender. He got operated and lipoma was completely excised. Results and conclusion: Based on the location of the swelling and clinical s it resembles Baker’s cyst. This uncommon case highlights the importance of thoroughly examining all swellings and conducting appropriate investigations beforehand.
