Ayurveda consists of Ashtanga where in Jara Chikitsa is one among it. Rejuvination therapy is also explained by modern science which deals with jara itself. Since nobody knows exactly why we age, there is no dearth of theories on the subject. Most of the theories fall in one out of two broad groups. Those which consider aging to be the cumulative result of random cell damage which goes on through out life, and those which consider aging to be the inevitable result of our genetic programme. The two groups of theories are not mutually exclusive. Possibly aging is primarily a genetically determined process, the rate of which can be modulated by environmental factors with a potential for damaging or protecting cells. Although the process of aging may be primarily genetic, scientists are more interested in the factors which can damage or protect cells because understanding these factors may give us the means of atleast retarding the process. Now we shallexamine briefly the better known theories of aging.

Atisara (diarrhoea) is a fairly prevalent disease in the modern day, due to irregular and harmful practices related to ahara and vihara, which cause sarira and manavaigunyata (physical and psychological involvement). Although atisara (diarrhoea) rarely poses a threat to health, it can persist and be quite painful. Atisara (diarrhoea) is becoming more common every day.Because of the influence of western eating habits, bad nutrition practises and mental stress. Here,we address Nidana Panchaka with a focus on Samprapti of Atisara (diarrhoea) as mentioned in Ayurvedic literature. Understanding the Nidana Panchaka and the samprapti in-depth allows for the formulation of appropriate management of diet (Ahara) for preventive measures of Atisara.

Bhadrikadi Ghrita also known as Marmakshata Ghrita is an Ayurvedic herbal formulation specially indicated for pain management in Marmabhighata (Injury to vital structures). Standardization is necessary to ensure the quality, efficacy and uniformity of the products to get a desired action. No research work is carried out in this direction so this article highlights the standardization of Bhadrikadi Ghrita.
Objectives: To standardize Bhadrikadi Ghrita on various parameters, in order to assure its safety and efficacy.
Materials and Methods: The Raw drugs required for the preparation of Ghrita (Herbal Ghee formulation) were procured from KLE GMP certified Ayurveda pharmacy and the Ghrita was prepared as per the Ayurveda classical methods. The Ghrita was analysed for its organoleptic, physico-chemical, Microbial counts, Phyto-constituents and chromatographic analysis to meet the required standards at Central research facility, AYUSH approved central drug testing laboratory of KLE Shri BMK Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya.
Results: The analysed ghrita shown loss on drying (1.143%), Saponification value (292.10), Iodine value (20.827 w/v), Refractive Index at 40 (1.4563), Acid Value (1.560), Specific Gravity (0.9133), pH (6.00).TLC of Ghrita with mobile phase (Toluene: Ethyl Acetate) ratio (7:3) showed refraction value of short wave at 0.17, 0.23, 0.51,0.73 and Long wave at 0.06, 0.11, 0.15, 0.22, 0.28, 0.36, 0.43, 0.47, 0.53, 0.57, 0.73, 0.79,0.85,0.90. The above parameters can be taken as standard for
the analysis of the formulation.
Conclusion: The standardization of any formulation is depended on various parameters like physicochemical, Chromatographic and Microbial count standards which serve as preliminary quality index parameters. The obtained results can be kept as a reference for the assurance of quality control, which would further help in the establishment of quality standards.

Introduction: Normal Intra Ocular Pressure ranges from 14 – 21 mm of Hg Ocular Hypertension is an asymptomatic condition with raised Intra Ocular Pressure without any visual impairment or comorbidities. Altered Intra Ocular Pressure above/below normal level with associated reduced peripheral vision & optic neuropathy are referred to as glaucoma. OHT population is at greater risk of developing glaucoma. They remain unnoticed and undiagnosed most of the time for a longer duration or advancement of the condition. Early diagnosis and timely management prevent the progression of the disease to Primary Open Angle Glaucoma and other conditions considering this scenario, Sadyovirechana with Avipattikara Churna was tried in a group of patients to evaluate its effect over IOP.

Materials & Methods: 300 patients were screened from the eye Out Patient Department of institute. 10 Patients fulfilled the inclusion criteria were enrolled and analysed for results. Avipattikara Churna was administered orally and the efficacy was analysed for results. The assessment of Intra Ocular Pressure was done with the help of Goldman’s Applanation Tonometry.

Results: For statistical analysis t test was used. Within the group, there was a significant reduction of Intra Ocular Pressure with a p-value <0.0001.
Conclusion: There was significant reduction in the values of Intra Ocular Pressure and a nearly normal value was achieved as target Intra Ocular Pressure.

The perennial Liliaceae plant aloe vera has a number of medical applications. Skin can be healed by aloe vera. Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory,antiviral,antibacterial, antiseptic, and wound healing properties. Aloe vera shields skin and guards against ulcers. Studies on this subject are scarce. Aloe vera is recommended as either a primary or supplementary form of wound care. This narrative review looked at the healing and defense capabilities of aloe vera.

High Blood pressure is considered as the third most important risk factor disease burden in south Asia and WHO rates HTN as one of the most important cause for premature death world wide.
The modern life style, stress, smoking, and alcohol etc. which interfere with homeostatic mechanism and circadian rhythmic patterns, thus manifests its ill effects.
The regimen of modern medicine is effective to essential hypertension, but it having trouble some side effects also. In modern medicine sedative, hypnotic and anxiolytic drugs are also been used, to counteract the psychological factors (Manasika Bhavas). These drugs may lead to side effects like drowsiness, impaired motor function, forget fulness and sometimes, suicidal tendency may also be developed. But Ayurved line of treatment is safe and as effective as modern treatment without any major side effects.
The ill effects of faulty regimens of Triupastambh2, Asatmendriyarth sanyoga, Pragnyapradha and Prinama3 etc., influence the Rajo-doshain Manas, thus directly brings out the dosha vitiation so as it cause the ailment. Thus deviating from dinacharya, ritucharya, in an extreme competitive life, directly predisposes hypertension.
Hence, the study entitled “Clinical study in the management of essential hypertension with Pranayam, Suryanamaskar and Shavasana” was under taken. Study was carried out in two groups, Sarpagandhaghan Vati4 as the control group and Yoga modalities as trial group.
In this study of 6 weeks, Yoga modalities proved to be the effective non pharmacological treatment in long term use in the management of essential hypertension.
