Quest for Antimicrobial agents from plant sources is a prime area of research in the last decade. Manjistha (Rubia Cardifolia Linn) is Popular medicinal plant in Ayurveda which has multiple indications includes Krimighna,Vishaghnaetc Krimighna property is often taken has Antimicrobial property hence present study was conducted to screen the Antimicrobial activity of Manjista Root on selected Organisms viz Staphylococcus Aureus E-Coli, Candid albicans, and Aspergillosisflavus. The study showed significant results in higher zone of inhibition in Alcoholic extract and lower in aqueous extract, and antifungal activity of aqueous extract at 500mcg Showed moderate activity for candid albicans & Aspergillosisflavus.

Background: Chronic low back pain (CLBP) is a multidimensional biopsychosocial problem and its psychosomatic aspects could be addressed efficiently with principles of Yoga. Objective: The objective of this review paper was to describe the role of yoga in prevention and treatment of CLBP and its associated problems. Methods: Systematic independent literature search of PubMed was done using keywords yoga AND low back pain IN title by two testers. Consensus was achieved in presence of the third tester. The suitablecitations were identified and selected studies were grouped under prevention, treatment and prevention and treatment, of CLBP. Results: The final list of 13 selected studies was then descriptively summarized which unanimously showed both short-term and long-term benefits for yoga in CLBP. Yoga could be an effective therapeutic adjunct if not an alternative to existing treatments for patients with CLBP and large number of high quality clinical trials had shown not only clinical benefits but also on disability and cost-effectiveness in favour of yoga. Conclusion: From the reviewed evidence, it is recommended that Yoga is effective in treatment of chronic low back pain and could thus be a viable and affordable treatment option for patients with chronic low back pain.

Vasti treatment is mentioned as the best treatment for menstrual disorders of women in Ayurvedic literature. This study was designed to find out the clinical effect of Vasti treatment in the management of some menstrual disorders including Hypomenorrhoea, Oligomenorrhoea and Dysmenorrhoea. Total 40 patients were selected for the study, 08 were Oligomenorrhoeic, 13 Hypomenorrhoeic and 35 were complane of Dysmenorrhoea. They were randomly divided in to two groups and treated with Dashamoola oil Matra Vast and Tila taila Matra Vasti, 60 ml per day continue 07 days for two consecutive menstrual cycles. The effect of the therapy was assessed by specially made grading system. In cases of Hypomenorrhoea, significant and highly significant results were shown for Dashamoola and Tila taila group. Among 08 Oligomenorric patients Dashamoola oil receive group shows insignificant results but 73% relief and Tila taila group were significant. In the case of dysmenorrhoea all the groups show highly significant result. By these findings it had being noticed Vasti treatment shows encouraging results on tested menstrual disorders.

Urinary bladder cancer is fourth most common cancer in men hence it has ever been attracting the attention of medical field for search of a safe and effective treatment for recovery from it. As it induces a poor quality of life (QOL) despite aggressive treatment with radical cystectomy, primary Transitional Cell Carcinoma (TCC) of bladder is relatively common tumor with a risk of its recurrence. As the W.H.O. has been advocating for search of newer modalities for the treatment of TCC, an Ayurvedic coded herbomineral formulation (LAS01) was evaluated in such cases so as to find out a safe, effective and indigenous treatment.
