 Present study attempted to study the effect of, “Maun of vag indriyas (organ of speech) on Self-Actualization” of college going female students. 30 female students the ages of 20 to 30 has been selected through accidental sampling from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Human Consciousness & Yogic Sciences Department, Haridwar, 15 were in experimental & 15 were in control group. Pre-post data were reported before and after intervention of Maun of vag indriyas (organ of speech) for 9 days; experimentcontrol group research design followed in the study. The result showed a significant change as, “Maun of vag indriyas (organ of speech) positively increase the Self-Actualization of the students, at 0.01 level of confidence.

Mukhy rup se aăt jab niyamit rup se kaary nahee karatee to mal kaa poorṇaatah niṣkaasan nahee ho paataa jisase aăto men sthit mal anek upadrav paidaa karataa hai is rog ke kuchh lakṣaṇa bhee hai jinake hone par kabj rog hai.  The problem of wound healing has been dealt at various levels since the advent of humanity and even today is a huge scope for researchers to work out and find a better solution for wound healing. The response of living tissue to injury forms the foundation of all surgical practice. Indeed, from a biological viewpoint, tissue injury & its sequelae constitutes majority of general medical problems. Wound healing is phenomenon where not only surgeons nowadays even other scientists are also involved. To find a better tool many herbs were being constantly studied. The drugs having wound healing activity were brought together and ghee out of which was prepared. Before evaluating efficacy of the drug clinically and experimentally the selected drugs were tested for the genuinity by pharmacognosy method later after preparing the formulation by pharmaceutical standards. Similar characters like trichome, fiber, spiral vessels, prismatic crystals, tannins, epidermal cells, starch were noted in all the drugs. These characters are known for serving the objective of wound healing. This compound was analyzed through qualitative and quantitative analysis by Physico-chemical parameters. It is inferred that the formulation meets the minimum qualitative standards as reported in the API at a preliminary level.

 This study is being carried out with the aim to get the effect of Uttarbasti on Bandhyatva w.s.r. to tubal blockage. Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is selected as a screening investigation to diagnose the tubal blockage. HSG has been performed in total 51 cases till date which has shown the incidence of tubal blockage in the same range (34%), as it is known to be responsible for infertility (30%-40%). Bilateral tubal blockage was diagnosed in 14% infertile women while unilateral tubal blockage was found in 19.6% infertile women. With the help of HSG many other uterine anomalies were also detected as the responsible factor or the associated factor of infertility. Problems and complications which arose during and after procedure of HSG were documented and some Ayurvedic drugs and procedures were used to correct them. Most of the problems subsided and no significant complication was reported during the follow up period of one month. Though HSG is a part of the main study which is regarding the Uttarbasti on tubal blockage, so many valuable experiences were gained by performing the HSG. These experiences are significant and worth publishing. The small sample data of 51 cases collected in last 07 months is present here, but there is a definite possibility of the enhancement of knowledge and collection of new facts in due course of study.

 Ancient Indians had not only mastered philosophy, but they were also experts in various fields of science and literature. Rasashastra (Indian Alchemy) was also researched and experimented upon extensively. Indian alchemy seems to have been evolved from techniques of transmutation of metals and minerals into their application in therapeutics. Few of the compilations based on experiences of practitioners of alchemy, metallurgical processes etc. became extinct in due course of period from 7th Century onwards. Rasendra Chudamani is a prominent text of 12th Century AD containing the experiences of previous authors. In a bird’s eye view, it may seem as an ordinary text written in Sanskrit regarding the crude metallurgical procedures. However, thorough study will throw insight of the deep and intricate procedures prevalent in that period. Present paper will deal with the status of Indian Alchemy with special emphasis on Rasendra Chudamani, its framework and contributions in the field of Rasashastra.

Vicharchika: One of the Kshudra kushtha can be correlated with eczema in modern parlance runs a chronic course & considered difficult to be cured and even if it is cured, relapses are common. Ayurvedic classics consider Rakta dushti as one of the prime causes of skin diseases; on the other hand, patients may get relief after letting out the vitiated blood. Hence taking into consideration the long lasting duration of disease and recurrence it was considered that shodhana therapy – Jalaukavacharana prior to shamana therapy & Rasayana therapy may provide better relief. So the present study has been conducted with the aims & objective to evaluate the role of Jalaukavacharana as treatment modality of Vicharchika (eczematous dermatitis). To fulfill this objective, Jalaukavacharana was carried out before administrating the Shamana therapy and compared with Shamana therapy alone (GroupA) whereas in Group B Jalaukavacharana was done prior to administration of Rasayana and applying Lepa for the purpose of sthana shuddhi solving both the purposes Lekhana & Lepana and compared with Lepa & Rasayana therapy given without blood letting by leeches. The results were found better in the patients treated with Jalaukavacharana followed by Shamana / Rasayana therapy. The recurrence was checked where Rasayana therapy was administered after blood letting by leeches (42.86%). Jalaukavacharana served the purpose of shodhan by expelling out vitiated blood.

 Background: Physical inactivity was one of the leading risk factors for development of diabetes mellitus. Type-2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) accounts for 80-90% of persons with diabetes, and is most prevalent in developing countries. Objective: The objective of this review paper was to describe the role of physical activity in prevention and treatment of T2DM and its complications. Methods: Systematic independent literature search of Pubmed, CINAHL and Scopus was done using keywords physical AND activity and diabetes or diabetic IN title by two testers. Consensus was achieved in presence of the third tester. The suitable citations were identified and selected studies were grouped under prevention, treatment and prevention and treatment, of T2DM. Under each of the three categories, it was further sub grouped into diabetes alone, its associated risk factors or comorbidities and complications. Results: Thirty-two reviews were identified and a final 25 were considered suitable for review. Of these, 14 studies were on prevention only; 7 were on treatment only; 2 were on both prevention and treatment; and 2 were guidelines/ consensus statements. From the prevention studies, physical activity reduced the risk of T2DM by 25-35%. From the treatment studies, physical activity not only reduced HbA1c levels but also enhanced social participation and quality of life. Conclusion: Regular physical activity such as simple walking for 30min per day for all/most days of the week was shown to prevent and manage T2DM effectively. Physical therapists in developing countries are faced with greater demands for individualizing physical activity prescription for T2DM patients.
