I'm Dr. Tridip Jyoti Borah, a dedicated anaesthesiologist specializing in critical care and pain management. With a career spanning over a decade, my journey has been marked by a commitment to patient care, academic excellence, and research innovation. Having traversed various teaching positions, I currently hold the esteemed position of Associate Professor at Dr Bhubaneswar Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI), Guwahati. Situated in the heart of the city, BBCI stands as a beacon of hope for cancer patients in the region. As a unit of the prestigious Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) in Mumbai, BBCI is at the forefront of cancer treatment, research, and education. In my capacity as Associate Professor, I play a pivotal role in shaping the institute's academic landscape. Beyond delivering lectures, I actively engage in administrative responsibilities, overseeing critical departments such as the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) and the Clinical Research Secretariat. At the CSSD, my focus is on ensuring the smooth operation of essential sterilization services, adhering to stringent protocols to safeguard patient safety. Concurrently, as the head of the Clinical Research Secretariat(CRS), I foster a culture of research excellence within the institute. As the head of the Clinical Research Secretariat (CRS) at BBCI, my role is to provide strategic leadership and oversight to facilitate high-quality clinical research activities. This includes managing resources, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting a culture of research excellence. I also play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies, providing training and support to researchers, and fostering collaborations with external stakeholders. Ultimately, my aim is to support and advance the institute's research mission, leading to improved outcomes for cancer patients. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of contributing to significant milestones, including participation in the Code Life ventilator challenge and facilitating the successful organization of the 12th South Asian Games in 2016. Balancing clinical practice with academic pursuits, my mission is to bridge the gap between research and patient care. Through my work at BBCI, I remain dedicated to improving outcomes for cancer patients while advancing the field of medicine.
