I am a forensic science academician and researcher with a strong foundation in forensic chemistry, toxicology, molecular biology, and analytical sciences. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Science at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed-to-be) University, I am passionate about integrating research-driven teaching with innovation to prepare the next generation of forensic professionals. My academic journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence, reflected in qualifying the UGC-NET examination twice and contributing actively to research, teaching, and academic administration.
My research interests encompass forensic toxicology, DNA analysis, forensic biology, crime scene investigation, artificial intelligence in forensic science, and emerging technologies for forensic applications. I have authored several scopus and peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals, with research spanning forensic toxicology, DNA extraction, bloodstain pattern analysis, criminology, and crime mapping. I am particularly interested in translating scientific research into practical forensic solutions while exploring interdisciplinary collaborations that advance the field.
Beyond research, I actively mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students, encouraging scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and publication-oriented research. My administrative responsibilities, including serving as Placement Faculty Coordinator and previously as Student Research Coordinator, have strengthened my leadership, organizational, and collaborative skills. I have also undergone specialized training in forensic laboratories, gaining hands-on experience in DNA profiling, forensic toxicology, instrumental analysis, and crime scene investigation, which complements my academic expertise.
As an early-career researcher, I aspire to contribute meaningfully to forensic science through impactful research, innovative teaching, and collaborative projects that address contemporary challenges in criminal investigation and justice. My long-term vision is to bridge the gap between academic research and forensic practice by developing evidence-based methodologies that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and societal impact of forensic science.
