I am Dr. Priyamvada Kurveti Verma, an accomplished medical academic and specialist in the critical domain of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology. I currently serve as an Associate Professor at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, where I have dedicated nearly nine years to teaching, research, and institutional service since joining the department in 2013. My professional tenure has been marked by a sustained focus on fostering high standards in postgraduate education, reflected in my roles as a PG Teacher, Guide, and Co-guide since 2018. My goal remains consistent: to contribute meaningfully to medical science and education, ensuring the next generation of professionals is exceptionally well-prepared for the challenges of clinical practice and the forensic field.

My robust academic background includes an MBBS and an M.D. in Forensic Medicine from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, which laid the foundation for my extensive experience. Over the course of my career, I have prioritized continuous professional development, successfully completing advanced training in Basic Life Support (BSL), Basic Course Workshops in Medical Education Technology (MET) in 2014 and 2021, and the Basic Course in Biomedical Research. This commitment to scholarly output is further demonstrated by my 10 publications in peer-reviewed journals, where I have frequently taken lead or corresponding authorship, actively contributing to the knowledge base of forensic science and toxicology.

Beyond my core teaching and research duties, I take on pivotal responsibilities that shape the institutional and external academic landscape. I have served as both an Internal and External Examiner for MBBS students since 2018 and for M.D. examinations since 2021, playing a direct role in upholding educational standards. Furthermore, I contribute actively to the college’s governance as a member of the Institutional Curriculum Committee and Institutional Ethics Committee, where I serve as the Departmental Nodal Officer. My expertise is also leveraged externally as a Resource Faculty for the Indian Society of Toxicology (ISI) workshops and as a reviewer for respected publications like the Journal of Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine, underscoring my commitment to the wider professional community.
