Rakesh K Gorea is an Executive director, at Medicolegal Institute, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab, a Faculty member of National Forensic Science University, Gandhinagar, a Professor Emeritus at SJJT University, Rajasthan, an Adjunct Professor, at Eternal University, HP. He has been awarded two titles: “Father of Forensic Nursing” & “Founder of Forensic Nursing in India” He is a BSc, MD, PhD and Diplomate of the National Board. He was a Faculty member of Forensic and Legal Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians London. He is a fellow of the Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine, International Medical Science Academy and Indian Congress of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. He completed the quality management system Lead auditor course in ISO 9001:2008 Standards from Moody International UK. He is the Founder President of the INPAFNUS, INPAFO and SPIC and past president of the IAFM Founder President of PAFMAT, former Editor in chief of JIAFM and JPAFMAT, besides being office-bearer of many other organizations. Currently, he is Editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Ethics, Trauma and Victimology and editor of the Global Journal of Nursing and Forensic Sciences. He is a member of the advisory committee of the Journal of IAFM, the Global Journal of Nursing & Forensic Studies and the German Journal of Forensic Sciences. He presented 160 papers at national and international forums with 151 research publications He authored three books “Practical Aspects of Forensic Medicine”, “Forensic Nursing Science: A Global Health Initiative for Developing and Developed Countries” & “Basics of Forensic Nursing Science” and has authored 7 chapters for the 7 different books. HE delivered 60 keynotes and guest lectures and received two national and two international awards. He has rich international experience, delivering keynote and guest lectures in 21 different countries With 39 years of teaching experience.
