I am Dr. Rajesh D.R., a dedicated medical professional and academic leader currently serving as an Associate Professor at the prestigious Indira Gandhi Medical College and Research Institute (IGMCRI) in Puducherry. My career objective is focused on driving progress within my profession and the institutions I serve. With over a decade of continuous experience in the medical field, specifically in teaching and clinical roles, I have developed a deep commitment to excellence in forensic medicine and medical education. Having joined IGMCRI in 2014, following an initial tenure as an Assistant Professor at AVMCH, I have consistently worked towards fostering both academic rigor and institutional efficiency across my various responsibilities.

My strong academic foundation includes an MBBS from AVMCH, Pondicherry University (2009), and an MD from MMIMSR (2013), which underpins my 10 years of intensive teaching experience. A significant aspect of my professional contribution lies in research, evidenced by my authorship of 32 publications across national and international journals, in addition to contributing a chapter to a relevant textbook in forensic medicine. I also operate at the critical intersection of medicine and law, where I regularly leverage my expertise by testifying as an expert witness in court cases and providing critical consultation to law enforcement agencies and legal authorities, often conducting workshops for professional development.

Beyond academic and legal contributions, I am deeply involved in the administrative and developmental fabric of the institution and the wider professional community. Within IGMCRI, I hold crucial administrative responsibilities as the Deputy Medical Superintendent and Public Relation Officer, ensuring smooth hospital operations and effective communication. I also serve as a key member of the Institute Research Committee, the faculty in-charge for sports, and oversee the hospital's dietary department. Professionally, I am dedicated to service through leadership positions, including Executive Member roles in the IMA Pondicherry and the South Zone of the Indian Academy of Forensic Medicine (IAFM), and as a Core Committee member in the South India Medico Legal Association (SIMLA).
