I am Dr. Priyanka Yoga Purini, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. My foundational medical journey began with my MBBS at Kurnool Medical College, followed by specialized training at one of India's premier institutions. I earned my MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from JIPMER, Puducherry, where I achieved the distinct honour of being a Gold Medalist. This accolade, specifically the Dr. A.V. Umachigui Memorial Gold Medal for securing the first rank in the post-graduate examinations, underscores my commitment to academic and clinical excellence. I further solidified my credentials by obtaining the DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. This strong educational background forms the bedrock of my clinical practice, research, and teaching endeavors in this specialized field, ensuring I bring a high standard of care and expertise to my role.

My professional focus is highly specialized, spanning several vital areas within women’s health, namely Gynaecologic Oncology, Adolescent Gynaecology, and Reproductive Medicine. These interests drive my current practice and inform my extensive publication record, which includes 13 peer-reviewed articles. My research contributions cover diverse topics, from clinical studies on genital tract colonization and induced labor infections, to complex case reports on rare tumors and reviews on reproductive health issues like Primary Ovarian Insufficiency. As an actively engaged professional, I contribute to the broader medical community through my membership in The Federation of Obstetric & Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) and the Indian Fertility Society (IFS), dedicated to continuous learning and knowledge dissemination.

My commitment to advancing the field extends beyond direct clinical and academic work into impactful research dissemination. A notable early achievement was securing the 2nd best prize for an oral presentation at the International Conference on Intrapartum Care in 2015, highlighting my ability to effectively communicate important clinical findings. The cumulative experience gained through my esteemed education and rigorous research output allows me to bring a grounded, evidence-based approach to both my teaching and patient care. Moving forward, I am committed to mentoring the next generation of specialists, contributing valuable research that addresses gaps in women’s health knowledge, and continuing my journey of clinical service and academic leadership in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
