Introduction


Premini S   currently holding the position of Professor in Community Health Nursing at College of Nursing, Ananthapuri Hospitals and Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram. She pursued Bsc Nursing  from Govt.College of Nursing, Thiruvananthapuram in 1999.She started her career as tutor at various Schools of Nursing in Kerala since 1999.She obtained Post graduation in Public Administration from Kerala University in the year 2001 and qualified UGC-NET in Public Administration in the year 2002. She pursued  MSc Nursing in speciality Community Health Nursing  from Govt College of Nursing Thiruvananthapuram in the  year 2008.Since 2008 onwards served  the position of faculty in colleges: SSNMM College of Nursing Varkala and College of nursing , Ananthapuri hospitals and Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram. She pursued Post Graduate Diploma in Health Science Research in the year 2014 from  University  of Kerala and completed Certificate program in Health Data Analysis  using ‘R’ Software from Global Institute of Public Health, Thiruvananthapuram in the year 2016.Now she is a PhD Scholar under Kerala University of health sciences. She is   interested in public health research activities.

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

·         She was the Co investigator for the project ”Developing  a health registry for coastal population: protocol of the  Valiyathura population based health registry in Kerala,the southern coast of India” conducted by Global Institute of Public Health. Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

·         She was guide and Co-guide of many research work of both Undergraduates and Post graduate students

·         She was a delegate of various conferences and workshops on Research methodology  and tool development  and Data analysis using Jamovi software.

·         She was participated in research project using ‘R’  software

·         She published more than 10 papers in national and international journals including Journal of epidemiology and Public health, Journal of epidemiology and global health,, Public health, Indian Journal of Communicable diseases, International journal of Contemporary microbiology and Journal of Nursing education and research
