Introduction


 Dr. Nitesh Kumar Jaiswa, Currently working as a  Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology,  Faculty Coordinator- International Affairs and Collaboration (MAHE-OIAC), Manipal Tata Medical College, My responsibilities as a faculty member are varied and include Curriculum design and implementation, research, presentation of interactive lectures in my area of specialty (Immunology, Bacteriology, Virology, Parasitology and Mycology) as per competency based medical education (For the MBBS students), tutoring of problem-based (small group) discussion sessions, design and implementation of Laboratory sessions in my area of specialty, student guidance, and assessment of student competencies. I have been involved in following teaching session:  General Microbiology – Introduction, Morphology and physiology of bacteria, Sterilization and Disinfection, bacterial genetics, Culture media and Methods, Identification of bacteria, Antimicrobial susceptibility testing. Standard safety precaution and Biomedical waste disposal.  Immunology- Infection ( Basic Concept), Immunity, Antigen, Antibody , Antigen –antibody reactions and its applications, Complement system, Component of Immune system , Immune response, Hypersensitivity reactions, Autoimmunity and disorders, Transplantation and Cancer immunology, Immunoprophylaxis.  Systemic Microbiology – Blood stream and Cardiovascular infections, Gastrointestinal infections, Hepatobilliary system infections, Skin, Soft tissue and Musculoskeletal system infections, Respiratory tract infections, Central Nervous system infections, Urogenital infections and Zoonotic Diseases.
