I am Dr. Neha Mishra, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Nutrition and Public Health at the Naini Agricultural Institute, SHUATS, Prayagraj. With a strong academic foundation comprising a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology and an M.Sc. in Nutritional Sciences (where I secured the 1st position), I have dedicated over a decade to the field of nutrition, research, and academia.
My research expertise lies at the intersection of Functional Foods, Bioactive Components, and Waste Utilization, with a specific focus on Microalgae and Medicinal Plants. Prior to my current role, I served as a Principal Investigator under the Women Scientist Scheme (UGC-WOS-A), honing my skills in independent research management. Currently, I am leading a significant project sanctioned by UPCST (Rs. 11.96 Lakh) on "AI-Enhanced Drinking Water Quality Monitoring," assessing its socio-economic impact on women and children in rural Uttar Pradesh.
To date, I have authored over 50 research papers in reputed Scopus and UGC-listed journals and have contributed chapters to international books. My work has been recognized with the International Educational Award (2024) and the National Health Care Icon Award (2019). Beyond research, I am deeply committed to mentorship, currently supervising four Ph.D. scholars and numerous M.Sc. students. My goal is to bridge the gap between traditional nutritional knowledge and modern food technology to solve pressing public health challenges.
