Introduction

I am Dr. Manasa Divakar, a medical professional with an MBBS, MD in Community Medicine, and DNB, currently working as an Assistant Professor (4th year) at Siddaganga Medical College and Research Institute, Tumakuru. My professional journey has been shaped by a strong interest in public health, medical education, research, scientific communication, and community-oriented healthcare.

Over the years, I have gained diverse experience in epidemiology, tuberculosis, HIV surveillance, maternal and newborn care, mental health, palliative care, and telemedicine. I have been involved in several public health projects, field investigations, surveillance activities, health programmes, and COVID-19-related initiatives. My current responsibilities also include academic teaching, mentoring students, coordinating community-based programmes, and contributing to institutional academic activities.

Research and scientific writing are an important part of my professional interests. I have completed research projects and my postgraduate dissertation in tuberculosis and have presented research papers and posters at state and national conferences. I have also contributed to published research on tuberculosis and adverse drug reactions. My training in Biomedical Research, Research Methodology, Epidemiology, SPSS, Meta-analysis, and Medical Education has strengthened my ability to critically evaluate scientific information, interpret evidence, and communicate it in a structured manner.

I have also actively participated in and organized CMEs, workshops, conferences, research methodology programmes, and academic activities, including serving as a resource person. These experiences have helped me develop skills in reviewing content, coordinating academic material, communicating complex medical concepts clearly, and maintaining accuracy and relevance.

I am particularly interested in an editorial role with Red Flower Publication because it would allow me to bring together my clinical and public health background with my interest in research, academic writing, scientific communication, and critical appraisal of medical literature. I believe my academic experience, attention to detail, research exposure, and commitment to clear and evidence-based communication would enable me to contribute meaningfully to the editorial process.
