Dr. Avinash Kumar is a seasoned Consultant with over 15 years of clinical & academic experience in his field. Currently, he is Associate Professor & Head of Department, Department of ENT and Head-Neck Surgery, Saraswati Institute of Medical Sciences, U.P. His areas of specialisation include intricate procedures such as Microsurgeries of the ear, Mastoidectomy and Tympanoplasty as well as advanced Endoscopic surgeries of the nose including Septoplasty and Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgeries. Dr. Avinash has done Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology from one of the premier institutes of India, GCRI Ahmedabad. He excels in Head and Neck surgeries, encompassing procedures like Thyroidectomy, Parotidectomy, Submandibular Gland Excision, to name a few. Dr. Avinash is highly academically driven with more than 75 publications in National and International journals to his credit. He is also in the Editorial Board of Journal of Current Research in Otolaryngology. He has attended & organised numerous conferences and workshops in Otorhinolaryngology, as a Faculty. He has presented various papers at State, Zonal and National level conferences. He received the best paper award for his study on Sclerotherapy at Assam State Conference and Swami Vivekananda award for his paper on Neck Injuries In North-East level Zonal Conference. He also won the North-East zonal level quiz competition in ENT in the year 2012. Dr. Avinash has conducted evaluation of undergraduate students as an External Examiner in various medical colleges of the country. He has also moderated various seminars, symposiums, case discussions and journal clubs by postgraduate students.
