Introduction


Dr. Indresh Kumar has been working at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal for the past four years, focusing on the management of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM). He is actively involved in coordinating Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres across Madhya Pradesh, providing technical support and handholding to ensure their effective functioning. His work also includes leading pilot studies and research initiatives to generate evidence for improving SAM management strategies.

Previously, he has gained experience in nutritional assessment at the National Institute of Nutrition (ICMR). He has also contributed to community-based behaviour change interventions by promoting locally available, low-cost nutritious diets and improving dietary diversity, particularly in rural settings, to enhance nutritional outcomes
