Introduction


Dr Maumita Kanjilal is currently working as Research Officer in Department of Rheumatology, All India Institute of Medical sciences, New Delhi, India. She joined the institute in year 2008, in Department of Pharmacology and worked as Senior Research Fellow in Phase III Clinical trials conducted in patients with Dilated cardiomyopathy. During this time, she got the opportunity to work in Global clinical trials phase II, III and IV studies in Department of Medicine and Rheumatology as Research officer. Her clinical trial work included from study initiation phase, dossier submissions in Regulatory authorities, site-management and procedural queries management,Patient screening and recruitment, Electronic Data Capturing and On-site documentation, maintaining records of Adverse Events, Serious Adverse Events, Communication with Drug Controller General of India, Managing the monitoring and Sponsors audits, Site closeout and trial budget management.  In year 2016, she enrolled herself in PhD (Community Medicine) and got experience in conducting and managingcommunity-based studies of air pollution and school health sponsored by Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. Her work expanded from protocol preparation, submission, planning of budget and purchase of high-end scientific lab equipment, recruitment and training of field and lab staffs, Designing Data collection Formats, Collection of data, Organizing Medical camps, Data analysis in Graph Pad statistical software, Report preparation and presentation in annual meetings of Department of Biotechnology and Department of Science & Technology. She authored patient awareness booklet on Arthritis, Air Pollution and Autoimmunity and Musculoskeletal Health for Adolescent for public health education.   She is Life Member of Public Health foundation of India and Epidemiology foundation of India.  She authored and co- authored papers and presented paper and abstracts in national and international conferences.
