Dr. Jay Narayan Pandit is an Assistant Professor cum Head of the Department in Dept. of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology at Katihar Medical College, Katihar. He holds an M.B.B.S. from JLNMCH, Bhagalpur; an M.D. in Forensic Medicine from AIIMS New Delhi; a Secondary DNB in Forensic Medicine; and a PGDM in Hospital Management from NIHFW, New Delhi. His work spans medico-legal examination, forensic pathology, autopsy practice, clinical forensic medicine, forensic radiology and virtual autopsy. His area of interest is in sudden death cases and clinical forensic medicine. He has conducted approximately 1,000 autopsies, contributed to 21 publications in national and international journal, teaches undergraduate and postgraduate learners, reviews for forensic and medical journals, and organised the skill-based workshop “POCSO in Clinical Practice: From Disclosure to Courtroom” for healthcare professionals
