IntroductionI'm Rajendra Kumar Sahu, a dedicated and highly qualified Nursing Officer-A currently serving at the prestigious Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Cancer Centre in Varanasi. Since beginning my tenure in February 2018, I have been focused on delivering high-quality, specialized care within this tertiary cancer care setting. My clinical experience is rooted in complex patient management, and I am committed to contributing to the overall excellence of patient outcomes at one of the region's leading oncology institutions.
My professional practice is strongly supported by a deep academic foundation, holding both a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Nursing from Central India College of Nursing. Furthering this commitment to advancing the profession, I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Nursing at Mangalyatan University Aligarh. This continuous scholarly pursuit reflects my passion for advancing clinical knowledge, with a specific research focus on critical areas such as mental health (including emotional and behavioral disorders in children and premenstrual dysphoric disorder), infection control, and specialized surgical nursing procedures.
This dedication to scholarship has resulted in an extensive portfolio of 21 publications in reputable national and international journals. My papers cover diverse, impactful topics—from ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) nursing care and the role of nurses in complex surgical procedures like HIPEC, to issues of antibiotic administration and women's mental health. I actively contribute to the profession through my affiliations with key organizations like The Trained Nurses Association of India and the Association of Operating Room and Recovery Nurses, ensuring my practice is current and well-connected within the wider nursing community
