Introduction


Presently, Dr. Erayya works as an Assistant Professor-cum-Junior Scientist in Plant Pathology at Dr. Kalam Agricultural College, Kishanganj (Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur, India). He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bangalore, Karnataka. Dr. Erayya obtained his Ph.D. from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pant Nagar, Uttarakhand. He did his Post Doctoral Studies from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, MO, USA-65101 (in collaboration with University of Missouri, Columbia, MO, USA) on Influence of cover cropping systems on soil microbiome and soil-borne diseases.


He has authored more than eighty publications, including research and review articles, book chapters, and popular articles. Dr. Erayya has taught many courses in Plant Pathology to both postgraduate and undergraduate students. His areas of interest include mycology, plant disease diagnosis, crop disease management, and biological control, soil-borne diseases etc.
