Introduction


      Dr VP Varshney MD is Professor of Excellence and Ex-HOD, Physiology, Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) & Faculty of Medical Science (FMS), Delhi. An awardee for his distinguished service in Physiology, he has 36 years experience of teaching Physiology to medical students. He has also been the Chairperson of Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) and FAA at MAMC. He has published a significant number of papers in national and international journals of repute.  He has edited the iconic “Ghai’s Textbook of Physiology” and also published Practical Physiology- A Student’s Workbook and Exam Preparatory Manual for Undergraduates. He has received a number of awards for his contribution in academics.
