Introduction


Dr. Swati Tyagi is a dedicated and highly decorated medical professional specializing in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology. Her career is marked by academic brilliance, including being a Gold Medalist in M.B.B.S. and the Highest Marks Holder in her M.D. program. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, where she is actively involved in teaching, training, and managing complex medicolegal cases.Her decade of professional experience includes significant tenure as a Senior Resident and Senior Medical Officer at AIIMS, where she was instrumental in conducting over 3,500 postmortems. Dr. Tyagi possesses deep expertise in modern forensic practices, having led research initiatives in Virtual Autopsy and possessing specialized skills in Forensic Radiology, Forensic Anthropology, and the Medicolegal Examination of Violence Survivors (MOHFW Certified). Her commitment to research is evidenced by 18 published papers and numerous national conference presentations.
