Dr. S. K. Dhattarwal is a distinguished Senior Professor and
former Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at PGIMS, Rohtak, as well as
Medico-Legal Advisor to the Government of Haryana. With over 36 years of
teaching experience, he has conducted and supervised more than 30,000 autopsies
and 3,000 expert opinions, including major cases for the CBI and State Crime
Branch. He has published 178 research papers across national and international
journals, authored and contributed to six textbooks in Forensic Medicine, and
served as Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Forensic Medicine and
Toxicology. A recipient of numerous prestigious honors—including the Haryana
Chikitsa Ratan Award and the Mother Teresa Sadbhavana Award—Dr. Dhattarwal
regularly serves as a guest faculty member, thesis guide, and NMC/NBE examiner
