Introduction


Dr Sankalp has done his MCh CTS from SJICSR, Bengaluru. He has keen interest in adult and paediatric cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery and vascular surgery. He is a prolific reviewer for multiple journals and routinely conducts public outreach programmes. It is his strong belief that quality healthcare should be available to all, and simultaneously there should be a strong focus on practice of evidence based medicine. Dr Sankalp is currently working as an Assistant Professor at AIIMS Raebareli where he has set up the CTVS department singlehandedly.
