Introduction

I am Dr. Rati Agarwal, working as a Neurosurgery senior Resident and trying to work hard to get few publications also. I went through few cadaveric workshops as fellow for endoscopy, skull base and spine. When I had my training in Neurosurgery Skill lab at AIIMS I was very much attracted to the work going on there. This is not the end of the story as I am still searching a platform to explore myself in the field of clinical research including skull base, endoscopy, microscopy and simulation training. Half of our family is settled in Cleveland Ohio and I found research fellowship to be suitable for me to fulfill my dreams which are still to come true. With the support and honest mentorship of my teachers along the way, I gradually ascended my academic and professional career. Along the entire path of my medical field, I inculcated virtues of humanity, leadership and entrepreneurship, molding deep into my personality. ‘Amat Victoria Curam’ is a Latin saying which translates as “Success favors those who take pain” or “Victory Loves Preparation”. With this quote I submit that given an opportunity in this esteemed institute, I will dedicate my time and energy in building student compliant simulation training environment as well as flourish the research work.
