Introduction

I am Dr. Rajesh Kumar, an experienced Assistant Professor in the Department of Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics at NDUAT, Kumarganj, Faizabad. My academic journey is built upon a strong foundation in Veterinary Science, culminating in a B.V.Sc. & A.H. and an M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics from a prestigious institution, which I completed with First Division and Distinction. Furthermore, I am a NET Qualified professional, demonstrating my deep subject expertise and commitment to the field. For over four years, I've dedicated myself to my role as Assistant Professor, contributing through teaching, research, and extension activities, following previous hands-on experience as a Veterinary Medical Officer with the Department of Animal Husbandry, UP.

My professional experience spans both academic instruction and practical clinical application. In my current role at NDUAT, I have been extensively involved in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching, handling critical courses such as Veterinary Gynaecology, Obstetrics, and Advanced Andrology. Beyond teaching, I have significantly contributed to research, notably serving as a Co-PI on the RKVY-funded project on the "Conservation, propagation and Genetic improvement of Sahiwal cattle in Eastern U.P." My work focuses heavily on reproductive challenges in bovines, as evidenced by my publications on the therapeutic management of repeat breeding and various clinical cases. I've also contributed to capacity building by acting as an Assistant Coordinator for refresher courses on Artificial Insemination for Veterinary Medical Officers.

A key aspect of my profile is my proactive involvement in the broader scientific community, which has resulted in numerous awards and recognitions. I have been honoured with the Young Scientist Award, Young Teacher Award, and Scientist of the Year Award in national and international conferences. My participation extends to several national and international events in Nepal and India, where I have presented research and served as an organizing coordinator. In addition to my academic and research duties, I also contribute to institutional administration as an Assistant Hostel Warden. I am a life member of respected bodies like the Indian Society for Study of Animal Reproduction. These diverse experiences demonstrate my well-rounded commitment to veterinary education, research, and institutional service.
