I am Dr. Debadulal Das Bidhar, MCh in Neurosurgery, a dedicated neurosurgeon with extensive experience in clinical practice, academic medicine, patient care, and surgical research. I completed my MBBS and MS in General Surgery at S.C.B. Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, under Utkal University, followed by an MCh in Neurosurgery at the same institution. This comprehensive training provided me with extensive exposure to general surgery and neurosurgery across leading medical institutions in India. Throughout my career, I have held several clinical and academic positions, including Senior Resident in General Surgery, Assistant Professor of General Surgery, Consultant General Surgeon, DNB Neurosurgery Trainee, Senior Resident in Neurosurgery, Associate Consultant Neurosurgeon, Consultant Neurosurgeon, and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery. These diverse roles have enabled me to develop a comprehensive approach to patient care, combining sound clinical judgment, technical expertise, academic teaching, and effective multidisciplinary collaboration. In addition to my clinical and academic training, I have pursued Advanced Healthcare Management (AHM) at IIM Nagpur, strengthening my understanding of healthcare leadership, management, and organizational practices. My primary professional focus is the advancement of neurosurgical care through evidence-based practice, innovation, research, and continuous professional development. I have contributed to publications and academic work in several journals, including AJNS – Asian Journal of Neurosurgery; IFRJMS – IFR Journal of Medicine & Surgery; IFRJBBS – IFR Journal of Biochemistry & Biomedical Sciences; IJNN – International Journal of Neurology & Neurosurgery; and JCHR – Journal of Chemical Health & Risks. I have also presented scientific work at national neurosurgical conferences and was awarded a Consolation Prize for a poster presentation at Mid-ANEICON 2023 in Ranchi. I believe that an accomplished neurosurgeon must remain committed to lifelong learning, embrace advances in medical science, and uphold the principles of empathy, ethical practice, and patient-centered care. I look forward to contributing to the field of neurosurgery through clinical excellence, education, research, healthcare leadership, and continued professional development.
